OKU card the saviour

Last week we had a vacation in Langkawi Island...the vacation was in conjunction with World Cup Asia Paintball 2011 (both me and my husband are paintballers). We took the opportunity to bring Imran to Langkawi Island since he requested 3 transportations....taxi, train and aeroplane. To fulfill this, we had planned a journey by taking a cab from our house to KL Sentral, took the ERL and headed straight to KLIA. Thus we secured MAS tickets online in July thus all were set and ready to go..

We planned to check in at KL Sentral...all were ok until the MAS staff required Imran's ID or birth certificate. Imran doesn't have Mykid (was not imposed during his time) thus we have to produced the birth certificate which of course we did not bring (we thought only Air Asia required it). My husband called his office and requested his staff to scan and email us. However in the moment of panic, the staff couldn't find the birth certificate.

There was a moment of 5 minutes silence when suddenly i remembered the OKU ID card and asked my husband whether we could use it..the ID card was always in my purse...and of course we could use it....i could see the expressions of all the people at the counter changed when we checked in and when we bought the ERL tickets...they were wondering what make Imran is an OKU....well dyslexic child looks normal until it comes to learning...hehehe...throughout the journey all went smooth, no question ask once we handle out to them the OKU card...

Both me and my husband still remember a sentence from an officer at Jabatan Kebajikan Masyarakat when we registered Imran as an OKU...."kad ni penting bang.....boleh tembus mana2 pun...takde sapa pun boleh deny..."...and it's PROVEN...! Alhamdulillah....there's always a 'hikmah' in everything....
