I am Back...!!

Assalamualaikum...my goodness, it is already 2015. The last post that i had was in the year of 2012. That was almost 3 years ago...dah bersawang blog ni...the last post saying that i just got a job...yes that was true...not only i got a job, i got promoted a year later...hardly had time to sit and write on my blog. Anyway, i will try my very best to write a post from time to time and since this blog is dedicated to my dyslexic son, i will continue the story on his development.

My son Imran, now he is 14 years old. Yep...how time flies...he is taller than me now and stronger. Well he is a teenager anyway. Regarding his education, he is still at Sek Keb Taman Tun Dr Ismail (2) and this year is his final year in elementary school because they only allow the students to be there until 14 years old. That's the maximum year. Next will be the big school, it was suggested to us to send him to SMK Manjalara. The school has the same integration program.

About Imran, alhamdulillah he is now able to read and he reads and understand better the English words and sentences. Imran has difficulty with Bahasa Melayu instead. People like to tell me it's because we speaks to him in English that's the reason he is not good in Bahasa Melayu. He can read in bahasa but is weak to understand the meaning. We send him to for a tutor session in Bahasa Melayu with Cikgu Rohayati who is a teacher with passion in teaching special kids like Imran. She also teaches at the same school, but we send Imran to her house every Friday afternoon. He showed a lot of improvement...Alhamdulillah.

The only problem left that we have detected in Imran is he has a low confident level in Bahasa Melayu. If we managed to solve this matter (insyaAllah), he will feel a lot...a lot...better. It was like a miracle when he couldn't read Bahasa for the past few years and suddenly in the year 2014, he did it..slowly but gradually.

Here is Imran, almost reaching the height of his baba. Mama loves you Imran!

Between work and son

I just got a job...meaning i'm a working mother again...and Imran is no longer can be fetched from school in the afternoon...my husband is doing the task now. Every now and then if he had no court cases, we'll try to make an arrangement of sending him to school in the morning and my husband will send me to the offices....other days when i drive to work, his baba will do the task...

Few things happened when i started my new job...Imran is no longer late for school...hehehe...simply because i have to be in the office by 8.30am so we have to depart as early as 7am and reached his school 10 minutes later. Since his father is fetching him, i think it is good that they have "father and son" moment...especially in the afternoon during sending him home. My new job requires me going out-station at least once a month...thus we have installed Skype in our Ipad so that Imran can communicate with me whenever i'm not around.

I've no complaint about my new job since there's a financial need in the family. I accepted it as "rezeki" for the year of 2012 and a step to move forward...but it touched me when i asked Imran whether he was ok of his father fetching him from school....he said no it's not ok...i want you mama....consoling him is not easy as i have to make him understand why i'm no longer available to fetch him from school...normally the afternoon time in the car is the session of him telling me of anything that interest him at school...my husband said that he didnt tell much now....dont get me wrong, he's close with his father..but i think he is more comfortable telling me about school instead of his father....but when it comes to anything related to games and movies to be downloaded, he'll look for his baba...my hope is Imran will be able to accept the changes...it is also a lesson of life for him that nothing stays as we like...there will be time where changes need to take place..hopefully for the betterment of our life..

I pray that one day i will have times like yesterday with Imran again without any financial difficulty arises in the family where I'm no longer requires to work from 9 - 5 working hour instead work independently on my own....insyaAllah...
